Associate Contributor, Content

Location: San Francisco

Reports To: Manager or Director

Job Description

This is a full-time entry-level position for those who have strong quantitative analytical and organizational skills, and have a strong desire to learn the very basics of e-commerce advertising and media planning.

Skills / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Previous experience in advertising or interactive media a plus.

  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for interactive media / marketing with strong working knowledge of the Internet.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks to completion.

  • Desire to learn / build knowledge of media / marketing principles, interactive media and direct response strategies and tactics.

  • Strong interpersonal skills including clear communication skills and positive attitude.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy when working with numbers (strong math skills).

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Content Planner on the development of recommended sites and placements on media plans.

  • Develop a strong working relationship with the media sales community to become the point person for day to day needs and account maintenance for all active media campaigns

  • Collect useful site background information (demographics, psychographics, etc).

  • Investigate new sites relevant to clients' media campaigns.

  • Work with sales reps to develop new tactics (placements, creative units) to improve performance of clients' advertising.

  • Use interactive media research tools to develop profile of target audience, and preliminary list of considered sites for upcoming media campaigns.

  • Develop (or assist Media Planner in creating) POVs on new sites and/or promotional opportunities (sponsorships, etc) relevant to clients' business objectives.

  • Work closely with Buying and Performance Analysis groups to ensure impression delivery of campaigns, prompt delivery of site reports to clients, and accurate and useful performance reports.

  • Communicate vital details of planned media campaigns to Media Buyer to ensure media is accurately bought as planned.

  • Work closely with Account Manager, Creative and Production Departments to investigate and deliver details / specs necessary for the production of all creative units.

  • Become proficient with 3rd party ad-serving system to be able to accurately input media plan details into ad-serving database.

  • Maintain detailed files of all pertinent records (latest media plans, performance reports, etc.) relevant to clients' current media plans.
