Director, Business Development

Job Description
Responsible for driving revenue and establishing relationships
between re:marketing and our target market. Focused on new business
opportunities generated through a number of prospecting and traditional
business development channels including, targeting fortune 1000
clients and interactive leaders, strategic analysis of market trends,
partner contacts, competition, company and personal relationships,
vertical expertise, and most importantly referenceable contacts
and clients.
Experienced sales professional motivated by a results based compensation
program. Responsible for initial identification, introduction, investigation,
positioning, presentation and close of new business. Collaborates
closely with client services team to maximize revenue opportunity
of business on an ongoing basis.
Skills / Qualifications
-
10 years professional experience in consultative selling -
ideal markets include: Interactive professional services, strategic
consulting, Ecommerce, software or systems integration Experience
in key verticals of Financial Services, Automotive, Telecommunications,
Retail / Consumer products

Experience in building a demand pipeline of new business ensuring
that the active prospects level is sufficient to exceed established
financial targets

Strong analytical skills, including market strategy, customer
requirements and success factors, and a value based selling
process (experienced in an ROI approach)

Trained in strategic selling skills including, how to manage
multiple buying influences and how to ensure the sales process
moves through all steps to close at a rapid pace

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, creation
of convincing and strategic sales approach, proposal, documentation
and presentation

Motivated by a rewarding commission based compensation plan

Team leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability
to effectively inform, motivate, and organize a multi-person
sales effort

Strong understanding of the Internet including industry trends,
key players, terminology and overall economics of the marketplace

Advanced negotiating skills and contract (statement of work)
experience required

Proven hands-on experience with senior executives in medium
to large business

Familiarity with the overall site development process as well
as creative processes, UI design issues, IA, writing for the
web, online marketing and branding, and ecommerce issues

Familiarity with online application development and methodology
as well as various technologies including but not limited to:
Application server technologies and products across both Windows
and Unix platforms XML Content Management Systems and technologies,
Database development, personalization and CRM tools, Interface
technologies

Goal oriented, able to manage to a financial budget

MBA or BA/BS with 10 years post graduate experience preferred
Responsibilities

Must close $3-4 Million in new business annually (account
value)

Primary responsibility to develop a pipeline of qualified prospective
clients large enough to meet or exceed financial goals

Proactively targeting and developing relationships with key
industry prospects

Professionally responsive to customer inquires and committed
to excellence in all customer communication Interaction with
critical industry partners in the area of joint business development
and building compelling, complimentary solutions

Understands the organizations capabilities completely and accurately
articulates the value proposition provided

Facilitates investigation and research into each opportunity
in order to ensure our solution is packaged in a compelling
and meaningful way Works extremely close with on-going account
management team in order to maintain a long lasting, profitable,
and referenceable client list

Present and articulate clearly all customer opportunities to
internal teams

Manages the team development of formal proposal and presentation
strategy

Understand customers' unique needs and business models to negotiate
deal structures/contracts and close integrated opportunities
